Your part in St Andrew's War Memorial A hands-on role, key responsibilities and duties will include: Operating the Security/Fire services Monitor roomOperating high volume car park management systemsIssuing Identification Cards and maintaining the employee data fileResponding to fire alarms and emergency codesProviding an escort service for visitors and staff within the Hospital campusLocking and patrolling the Hospital complex and all parking areasInvestigating Security related incidents, ensuring detailed and accurate reports are completedResponding to complaints and inquiries from staff and visitors, whilst adopting a customer service approach at all timesMonitoring and responding to plant and equipment faultsIdentifying risks and recommending improvements for the safety of staff, patients and visitorsPromoting and maintaining security awareness amongst staff membersPerforming general administrative duties What makes a difference for us? Minimum 2 years' experience in security related employmentCertificate III in Security OperationsCurrent Queensland Class 1 Security Provider Licence with endorsements in Security Officer Unarmed, Crowd Control and MonitoringAdvanced computer skills including MS Office and security/car park applicationsFlexibility to work rotational shifts, shifts will be approximately 48 hours per fortnight including nights and weekends on a 24/7 rosterA current manual open driver's license is essentialAbility to work in a busy Control Room environmentDemonstrated experience in the use of computer systems, access control systems, CCTV and Fire Indication panels.Demonstrated experience in providing services with a strong responsive customer service focus.
