About the Role : An excellent opportunity has opened for a dedicated VCE General Mathematics and Maths Methods (Units 3 & 4) teacher to join a respected Catholic senior school near Taylor's Hill in Melbourne's West.
This full-time, ongoing role commences in Term 1, 2025, focusing on guiding and supporting Year 12 students through their final and most pivotal year of secondary education.

Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with the VCE curriculum, focusing on both Mathematical Methods and General Mathematics. Demonstrate a strong command of mathematical concepts to teach complex topics such as calculus, probability, algebra, and functions (Maths Methods) and statistics, financial math, and data analysis (General Maths). Develop, administer, and mark assessments in accordance with VCAA standards, providing timely and constructive feedback to support student progress. Provide support and motivation to students, offering additional assistance as needed for exam preparation and coursework. Work closely with other teachers, faculty members, and school leadership to enhance curriculum delivery and participate in departmental planning and meetings. Engage in ongoing professional learning to stay updated with current educational practices and developments in the VCE curriculum. Skills & Experience : Completed relevant Qualifications in Education Maintain a valid and up-to-date VIT registration Have unrestricted working rights in Australia Demonstrate previous experience in teaching minimum year 11 General / Methods (VCE or equiv. in AU) in Vic / Australia Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
