About Our School Mary MacKillop Catholic College is an all-girls secondary school that consistently attains high academic excellence through a personalised yet dynamic approach to learning that caters to each young woman's needs, passions, and aspirations.
Applications are invited from dynamic educators for the position of Science Coordinator. The preferred candidate will be enthusiastic, keen to engage and inspire our students, and able to deliver a curriculum that caters to students with different learning styles.

This full-time, permanent role is scheduled to commence on Friday, 31 January 2025. The Science Coordinator 2 position is a 2-point promotional role, temporary for up to 3 years; however, your teaching position will be full-time and permanent.

As a Science Coordinator 2, you will work to ensure every student reaches their full potential through high-quality, collaborative and engaging pedagogy.

To excel in this role, you will be able to:
commit to Catholic Education and have a clear understanding of the ethos of Catholic Schoolssupport the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for studentshave secondary qualifications and experience in teaching Stage 4-6 Science coursesshow experience in leading a Key Learning Area or Cohort (desirable)be an experienced, enthusiastic, highly effective, innovative and motivated educator and leader with a passion for leading learning and teachingdemonstrate the ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team, build upon its collective efficacy, and develop and lead its strategic agendashow experience with programming and assessment design, reporting, feedback and data analysishave effectively used data and evidence-based approaches to foster school improvementbe enthusiastic, keen to engage and inspire our students and staff, and be able to effectively lead our students and staffpossess a sound knowledge of the NSW Science curriculum and the requirements of the NSW Education Standards Authority and the ability to lead others in the implementation and use of all relevant NESA, SCS and school policies and proceduresdemonstrate proven ability to differentiate instruction, cater for the diverse needs of learners and personalise learning for students from Year 7 to Year 12assess for learning, as learning and of learning and integrate effective feedback in student learningbe highly collaborative, relational and able to build the collective and individual capacity of the Science teamshow effective use of data and evidence-based approaches to foster school improvementexhibit exemplary classroom practice, utilising a range of effective contemporary pedagogiescommit to growing the College's culture of learning and thinkingutilise formative and summative assessments to drive student progressemploy a data-informed approach to setting challenging learning objectives and providing constructive feedbacksupport the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for studentsdemonstrate excellent classroom management skills focused on student well-beingintegrate technology to enhance contemporary learning experiences.You will have attained:
a tertiary qualification in Educationeligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)Application Process
