SBAT Engagement Officer - Aboriginal Identified NSW Department of Education – Goulburn NSW
School Based Apprenticeship and Traineeship Engagement Officer – Aboriginal Identified At the NSW Department of Education, we educate and inspire lifelong learners – from early childhood, through schooling to vocational education and training. Temporary Full-Time until 31 December 2026Works across Batemans Bay High School, Bega High School, Eden Marine High School, Moruya High School and Narooma High School.
Base School location negotiable.Hybrid Role that works flexibly between schools131,858 Package includes salary ($106,025 - $117,363), employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.About the role The Educational Pathways Program is an innovative, Ministerial and executive priority program designed to improve access to Career Development programs, increase School Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships (SBATs), and help students and young people explore Vocational Education and Training (VET) pathways.
As a School Based Apprenticeship and Traineeship Engagement Officer (SBAT EO), you are a conduit between schools, students, parents, Registered Training Organisations and employers.
Your role is to support the student SBAT journey, leading to completion of the HSC and an industry-recognised VET qualification.
A good knowledge of the Far South Coast region and its unique environmental and business complexities is paramount, as this role works collaboratively across a range of local services to foster and develop new opportunities across the region.
As the role involves travel between a group of schools and within the local community, a current drivers licence and use of your own vehicle is required (with work-related kilometres reimbursed in line with Departmental travel guidelines and policy).
