About the Role
This role will support the Project Managers in the running of the Trowse Constructions Safety, Environment, and Quality Systems across project sites in South East Queensland. This will involve:
Promoting the development and implementation of safety, environmental, and quality standards that address all compliance and due diligence requirements.
Conducting safety, environmental, and quality audits and inspections, including a hands-on approach assisting the close out of said audits/inspections.
Preparing reports for senior management.
Assisting with education and training of Trowse Constructions staff in the areas of safety, environmental, and quality systems.
Preparing work method statements, project plans, and inspection and test plans.
Developing and implementing system changes and improvements.
Reviewing risk management documentation, including Safe Work Methods (SWMs), permits, and isolation procedures.
Conducting audits, inspections, investigations, and providing assurance and governance support.
Demonstrating knowledge of Health & Safety Acts, Codes, and legislative requirements.
Ensuring compliance with ISO accreditations.
Generating monthly reports and ensuring all quality policies and procedures are current and effective.
Assisting in auditing contractors and managing the online safety software program.
About You
Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
Cert IV in Environmental Management preferred.
Prior experience in a Safety Advisor role within the Construction industry.
Experience in supporting stakeholder groups and teams within the area of responsibility, such as communicating with frontline employees and first line managers.
Ability to interpret project-related documents, prepare reports, and monitor compliance documentation.
Quantitative and qualitative risk assessment and development skills, as well as monitoring of risk controls and actions involved in the delivery and implementation of projects.
Experience with ISO accreditations, audits, and compliance.
