Role
As a Safety Business Partner, you will play a key role in providing work health and safety guidance and advisory services to a specific region. You will utilise your in-depth knowledge and expertise in work health and safety to maintain a safe and secure workplace environment, while also adding value to business units and meeting performance expectations of the organisation. You will be responsible for driving a strategic approach, leading the division and taking ownership of developing new initiatives that will deliver proactive results within your region. Your key focus areas will include improving safety management systems, promoting safety leadership with operational stakeholders, and implementing risk programs in collaboration with the business.
Requirements
You must obtain the below to be considered for the role: Tertiary qualifications in WHS or equivalent with demonstrated experience. Strong understanding of the legislative framework, regulations, standards and key policies. Ability to drive change and performance at a regional or multi-site level and to initiate and develop solutions to complex issues. Demonstrated experience in identifying and applying new concepts, practices and developments to achieve continuous improvement. High level of communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders. Proven experience working within a unionised environment.
