Whatever your role at ANZ, you'll be building your future, while helping to build ours.Role Type: Permanent, Full-TimeRole Location: 833 Collins Street, Docklands VICWork Hours: Standard HoursWhat will your day look like?As the Risk Governance Senior Manager, your key accountabilities will include:Consolidating Governance and Reporting: Establish and maintain clear and consistent governance and reporting structures, ensuring quality outcomes and compliance with internal standards.Review and Support of Governance Papers: Support the review of critical governance documents, including Board reports, ExCo papers, and Risk Day submissions, ensuring all documentation aligns with governance best practices and requirements.Forum Management and Facilitation: Organize and facilitate key risk governance forums, such as Retail forums, focusing on critical topics that require cross-functional collaboration and decision-making. Ensure the effective management of meetings and timely follow-up on actions and decisions.Action Tracking and Reporting: Record, track, and manage actions and outcomes from various governance forums, providing updates to senior stakeholders on the progress and resolution of key actions.Stakeholder Management: Work closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders across different business units, providing expert advice and ensuring alignment with governance standards. Foster strong working relationships to ensure effective collaboration and decision-making.Governance and Risk Oversight: Lead the reporting and governance over key risk management activities, including managing escalations, tracking risk-related actions, and ensuring proper closure of governance processes.Regulatory and Internal Compliance: Ensure all governance and reporting activities comply with regulatory requirements and bank policies, providing assurance that all governance actions and decisions are effectively documented and tracked.What will you bring?To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:Strong experience in Risk, Audit, Governance, Legal or Compliance.Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Legal or Finance.Demonstrated ability to manage large scale governance structures.Strong communication skills – exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex governance and reporting matters to senior leaders and key stakeholders.A strong understanding of the business, including its operational, risk and commercial aspects to support informed decision making.Demonstrated experience managing governance activities for official committees/forums.Strong demonstrable stakeholder management skills with experience engaging with senior executives and cross-functional teams.You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
