About the OpportunityBased in Sydney, Melbourne or Adelaide, the newly created position reports to the Senior Manager, Governance & Risk and is responsible for the implementation, management and maintenance of comprehensive enterprise risk management and compliance frameworks across the organisation.

Your contribution ensures that our activities comply with our legislative obligations and fosters a culture of risk-based decision making throughout the organisation. The Risk & Compliance Partner leads initiatives to identify, assess and mitigate organisational risks, including the wellbeing of employees.
About you – your impact and contributionWorking in the diverse Corporate Services division, you will be responsible for the management and maintenance of the enterprise governance and risk registers, consulting with relevant stakeholders to ensure risk reviews and control assessments are regularly undertaken as well as supporting the Senior Manager to embed the Corporate Governance Framework.

Partnering with the People & Capability team, you will also identify, assess and manage psychosocial risks in the workplace to implement appropriate controls and risk management support and assist with reporting and analysis on workplace incidents.

Combining your enthusiasm for compliance oversight and your demonstrated experience in risk management, you will also:
Be responsible for the management of the enterprise risk management systemsMonitor and review the effectiveness of psychosocial risk management strategies and make necessary adjustmentsConduct internal risk assessments, identifying risk areas in the organisation and recommending solutions to reduce risksPrepare high-quality risk and compliance reports for Senior Management, the Audit & Risk Committee and other Committees to support decision making and management of riskAssist with internal audits and reviews to ensure policy alignment with legislative requirementsProvide advice and recommendations to assist with the development and review of policies and procedures to ensure risks are appropriately managed and compliant with legislation, regulations and industry standardsOversee the ongoing review and enhancement of corporate WHS policy and procedures to ensure complianceDeliver projects to develop and implement systems for the identification, recording, monitoring, reporting and mitigation of riskWork with relevant teams to establish and maintain appropriate business continuity and emergency management policies and proceduresAssist the Chair of the WHS Committee, coordinating the meetings, ensuring follow up action items, and communicating meeting minutes to all staffOur Organisation and CultureThe Office of the National Rail Safety Regulator (ONRSR) has the responsibility for regulatory oversight of rail safety throughout Australia. Salary: $124,345 - $130,874 p.a. + super
