As our Risk and Business Continuity Officer within the Uniting Church Synod of NSW & ACT and associated entities, you will have the opportunity to train and guide our diverse stakeholders on the importance of a strong risk and compliance culture.If you enjoy both projects and day-to-day operations and have the expertise to help us build a Risk and Continuity framework that will protect the church's current and future community work amongst other initiatives, then we would love to hear from you.What you will be doing:Serve as the main point of contact for risk and business continuity-related inquiries, providing guidance and support.Implementing, managing, and monitoring the Risk Management Framework.Process Improvements ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.Developing, implementing, and monitoring of the Synod's Business Continuity Framework.You will be an advocate and champion of best practice frameworks and systems for the Synod.Manage and support complex risk assessments, prepare reports, contribute to business cases, and briefings.Quarterly and Yearly Risk reporting.Monitor and analyse key risk indicators, risk data, and performance metrics, presenting findings for continuous improvement.What you will need:Demonstrated experience in implementing and monitoring enterprise risk management frameworks and systems in complex organisations with broad risk profiles.Highly developed working knowledge of business continuity management and processes.A strategic and systems focus mindset with the ability to innovate and manage complex projects to successful completion.Strong Stakeholder Management with the ability to engage and excite a diverse range of stakeholders within a multi-entity organisation.Experience working within a not-for-profit or multi-entity organisation will be looked upon favorably but is not essential.Great problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to research, monitor and synthesise information, identify risks, and develop strategies to produce results.About you:You are outcome-driven and understand that these outcomes can take time as the organisation evolves.You keep abreast of the latest changes and developments within risk and business continuity.You can champion a strong risk culture and can adapt your style to bring a diverse range of stakeholders on the journey to positive change.Why us:Sydney CBD location (Pitt St).Quarterly reward and recognition program.Work with an Industry veteran who will guide and support your Learning and Development.Hybrid working conditions.Additional Wellbeing Day to recharge.12 weeks paid Parental leave.Opportunity to Purchase Leave.About Us:Our values of Compassion, Integrity, Respect, and Collaboration lie at the heart of everything we do.As an employee of the Uniting Church Synod of NSW/ACT, your contribution will be invaluable to ensuring the sustainability of the church and benefit the wider and vulnerable communities in NSW and the ACT we serve.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years' experience do you have as a Business Continuity Officer?What's your expected annual base salary?How much notice are you required to give your current employer?
