Risk Advisor, Assurance and Advisory Reserve Bank of Australia, Sydney, Australia We are seeking an engaging and highly motivated Risk Advisor to join our Internal Risk Assurance and Advisory team. The Risk Assurance and Advisory (A&A) is a part of the wider Strategic Operational Risk team, within the Bank's Risk Management department. As a part of the Line 2 function, A&A undertakes defined engagements based on assurance planning to help the business achieve its risk objectives and ensuring key risks are being managed effectively. This is a broad role which involves independent review and challenge of enterprise-wide risks and controls, driven by detailed analysis to uplift the control environment. There is a focus on reviewing and enhancing controls within the Bank's risk framework. In this role, you will assist in periodic assurance, targeted reviews and provide advisory services. Key Responsibilities: Partner with stakeholders to deliver high-quality risk outcomes across various areas of the bank. Support the business in reviewing and uplifting risks and controls. Undertake risk and control reviews to identify and mitigate potential issues. Conduct data analysis and insights findings, to support risk management activities and decision making. Support senior team members in delivering risk assurance and advisory services across the bank. Your background: 5 years' experience in assurance with exposure to frameworks and risk and controls assessments. Experience in Line 2 (strongly preferred) or demonstrated experience of working across the 3LoA. Controls Assurance and Assessment experience. Risk management experience, including completing risk assessments and analysis. Domain experience / Professional services / financial services background is preferred, but not mandatory. About You: Strong communication and writing and verbal skills with ability to deal with a wide and divergent stakeholder group. Critical thinking and analysis. Strong analysis and reporting skills, with attention to detail to produce effective and accurate reports. Moderate to strong Excel / data analysis skills. Experience at prioritising and working in a dynamic deadline-oriented environment. Strong team player to work with multiple collaborative teams is essential. Enjoys problem solving and engaging others through the process. Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, risk, compliance, or related discipline.
