You'll bring your solid management experience gained in a fast-paced hospitality/retail environment to this role as Full Time Store Manager at our Relay store at Cairns Airport! Offering a wide range of products including newspapers, books, magazines, stationery, and confectionery, our Relay store is a one-shop destination to surprise and delight our travellers.
We're looking for a hands-on leader who has: Solid retail/hospitality operational experience + people management skills A strong work ethic, clear communication skills, and strong computer skills Strong business and commercial acumen Excellent organisational and time management skills Experience in inventory control and waste management Experience rostering staff and managing store costs and budgets Experience training staff in customer service, product knowledge, inventory control, and merchandising Proficiency in Microsoft applications - Excel, Word, Outlook & Teams Exceptional presentation standards and a professional approach Maturity, initiative, and a sense of urgency We seek a motivated individual who supports our customer-centric values, where the full energy and activity of the store team is focused on delivering a highly satisfying world-class customer experience.
As we're located in a dynamic airport environment, we operate outside typical business hours. We are looking for someone who is reasonably flexible with availability as trading hours will fall outside normal business hours. As public transport may be limited in the airport location, having a driver's license and own transport is required.
