We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our restaurant, Cartel Taqueria. The ideal candidate should have exceptional leadership skills, a strong passion for outstanding customer service, and a commitment to fostering a warm and lively atmosphere. The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring seamless daily operations, and maintaining our brand's high standards of excellence.
Benefits This is a full-time position (35 - 40 hours per week). Trading hours: Thursday-Sunday, 12pm-8:30/9pm Kitchen is closed daily from 3:30pm-5:30pm. You will be managing our flagship Queanbeyan store with on rotation with another manager. There are opportunities for future growth within the Cartel Taqueria chain. Task & Responsibilities Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the restaurant to deliver an outstanding customer experience Work closely with wait and kitchen staff to design seasonal menu items that align with customer preferences Manage budgets, track financial transactions, and keep accurate inventory and stock records Ensure the restaurant complies with health, safety, and cleanliness regulations to create a welcoming atmosphere Recruit, train, and supervise staff to maintain high standards of service Respond promptly to customer inquiries and feedback to boost satisfaction and build customer loyalty Devote your full working hours to the requirements of your role Exercise all reasonable skill, care and diligence in the performance of your duties Carry out your responsibilities in accordance with recognised standards consistent with your training, experience and professional status Promote the interests of Cartel Taqueria and not do anything which may adversely affect the reputation or goodwill of Cartel Taqueria Comply with Cartel Taqueria's policies and procedures, together with all lawful directions given to you by Cartel Taqueria and all legislative requirements Qualification & Experience A minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a comparable role within the hospitality industry. Diploma in hospitality management or a related field Proven leadership and organizational skills Strong communication and customer service skills are essential for creating positive guest experiences and effectively handling any issues A thorough understanding of budgeting, inventory management, and health regulations, along with experience in menu planning and event coordination, is vital About Company Overlooking the Queanbeyan river you'll find us nestled in the beautiful Ray Morton Park. When we stumbled across this location in early 2022 we could not believe our eyes & it was love at first sight. It is the ultimate hangout within the picturesque park for families where the kids can run around freely or if you're looking for a nice view over the river for some cheeky Sunday arvo margs with the girls.
