The OpportunityCITIC Pacific Mining is currently looking for an experienced Resource Geologist to join our Geology Team, working in our Perth head office located on St Georges Terrace. This is a permanent position, working Monday to Friday on a 5/2 roster.Reporting to the Geology Superintendent, the primary function of this role is to create, update and improve both resource and grade control models.In this role, you'll be responsible for:Providing timely and accurate updates to resource models and estimates.Improvement of resource estimation techniques.Improvement of the grade control modelling system.Reporting and documentation in line with JORC reporting guidelines.Audits and reviews of current resource practices and procedures.Monitoring and improvement of QA/QC data and procedures.Monitoring regulatory compliance with respect to mineral resource estimates.Providing geological and resource modelling support to operations and development.Mentor mine geological staff in the understanding and usage of modelling and estimation.As the successful candidate, you'll have the following:Tertiary qualification specialising in Geology/Earth Sciences or similar discipline.Extensive background in a similar Geology role, in particular Geological Modelling and Resource Estimation.Demonstrated prior experience working in an open pit mining environment.Proficiency using Vulcan, Supervisor software and acQuire databases.Meet the JORC standard of "Competent Person".Post graduate studies in geo-statistics will be highly regarded.You must have the initiative to use Vulcan software in innovative ways, be self-motivated and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.Employee BenefitsAs an employee of CPM, we offer a range of benefits including:Leave benefits.Personal and family benefits.Education and training.Salary sacrifice options.Lifestyle benefits through preferred suppliers.Additional benefits include:Competitive remuneration packages.Career progression and industry training programs.Life and salary continuance insurance.Salary packaging options.Subsidised gym membership for Perth office employees to The Vault Gym.
