Vibrant regional city of Dubbo LocationCreate Rural and Primary Industry ContentFixed term contract for approximately 12 monthsBase salary $72K - 90KThe Role ABC Dubbo is looking for a Reporter to create innovative stories for local audiences for 12 months. The role will include:
Presenting engaging Rural & Primary Industry stories or News, Q&A's, interviews and packages across all platforms, including breaking stories.Prepare and present content for the Rural Report and Country Hour.Contributing to the implementation of the Local Emergency Coverage plan and communicate with relevant stakeholders as required.In collaboration with colleagues identifying and developing local content that can be shared with other content teams and across the ABC on multiple platforms.About You You will bring media experience with a proactive, can-do approach to creating interesting and innovative stories. You will have emerging cross-platform production skills and an understanding of the issues and events important to the Western NSW community. You will also have the following skills and experience:
Proficient editorial skills including the ability to source and analyse information and exercise reliable judgement.Demonstrated experience in live presentation and broadcast (preferable but not essential).Detailed understanding of the issues that affect and interest the local audience.Demonstrated proficient cross-platform production skills.Proficient time management and communication skills to work effectively with the broader team and co-ordinate output with the state and national news desks.About ABC News Quality journalism, powerful investigations, outstanding production, and a collaborative, engaged and supportive workplace that offers opportunities and career development across regional and metropolitan Australia.
