You will work closely with the Senior Executive Team Members and BID Management Control to develop innovative and alternative construction methods, manage cost control, and ensure the business will achieve financial targets set out in the Business Plan.ResponsibilitiesDeveloping strategies for the pursuit and procurement of competitive tender projects fitting within the accepted market segments.Teach staff about the approaches required when reviewing project documents with regards to strategic advantages due to our in-house capabilities.Teach staff to develop strategic alliances with key subcontractors as a method to receive preferential treatment & pricing for a tender.Identify major issues and concerns on a project relating to risk/reward situations.Set the Directors' goals each year and assure the goals set for the staff by the chief of Estimating are in alignment with the company goals.Determine the maximum amount of profit that can be obtained on each project during the tendering process by accurately tracking special pricing given to the firm by our subcontractors.Review of conceptual bids and maintain & update on a quarterly basis the databases used for conceptual and hard bids. Conduct value analysis of clients' plans & specifications including coordination, completeness, & clarity. Present bids, estimates, and conceptual bids to our clients, assuring that they receive their conceptual estimates at the agreed-upon timeframe.
