We are currently seeking an experienced Relationship Manager to join our NSW Commercial Banking team and manage a portfolio of customers in the $1M - $5M business lending segment.

As a Relationship Manager in our NSW Commercial Banking team, you will be responsible for managing and growing a diverse portfolio of business customers.
This role focuses on providing industry expertise, credit assessment, and tailored lending solutions for businesses within the $1M - $5M lending segment.

You will work with both directly sourced customers and broker-introduced transactions, delivering outstanding service and driving portfolio growth.
With a dedicated Assistant Relationship Manager to support you, you will have the resources needed to ensure seamless service delivery and the ongoing success of your portfolio.

What will your day look like?Portfolio Management: Manage and grow a portfolio of business clients within the $1M - $5M lending segment, ensuring the development of long-term customer relationships.Customer Growth: Proactively identify opportunities to expand existing customer relationships and acquire new clients through networking, business development, and strategic planning.Credit Assessment & Origination: Conduct comprehensive credit assessments, ensuring credit policies and risk management frameworks are adhered to while providing tailored lending solutions that meet customer needs.Direct & Broker Introduced Transactions: Handle both directly sourced and broker-introduced business, delivering high-quality service and ensuring smooth collaboration with broker partners.Customer Solutions: Provide industry expertise and market insights to tailor product solutions, matching business needs with Suncorp's suite of products, including lending, deposits, and transactional banking.Collaboration & Support: Work closely with a dedicated Assistant Relationship Manager in a 1:1 support model to enhance service delivery, streamline processes, and ensure operational efficiency.Risk Management: Proactively manage risk across the portfolio by identifying potential issues and developing solutions to minimize exposure and maintain credit quality. What will you bring?To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Experience: Proven track record in commercial banking, with experience in managing a portfolio of clients in the $1M - $5M business lending segment.Credit Skills: Strong background in credit assessment, origination, and structuring lending facilities, with a deep understanding of financial statements, cash flow analysis, and risk management.Relationship Management: Ability to build, maintain, and grow relationships with business clients and broker partners, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.Commercial Acumen: A strategic thinker who understands the dynamics of business lending and can identify opportunities for growth and development.Communication & Negotiation: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and negotiate terms with customers, brokers, and internal stakeholders.Coach & Mentor: Ability to work collaboratively and lead an Assistant Relationship Manager, focusing on developing them professionally through regular 1:1's and coaching feedback.Customer-Centric: A passion for understanding and addressing customer needs, ensuring a positive experience throughout the lending journey. You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
