About Special Care Nursery We are a state of the art level 4 special care service delivering safe high quality care to neonates. We provide care for neonates who require specialised medical and nursing support born within our hospital from 32 weeks gestation. Our nursery also provides care for neonates transferred from other hospitals as part of the neonatal network and ongoing care for downward transfers from tertiary facilities from 30 weeks' gestation.
We are a forward thinking unit which has implemented improvements in care based on latest evidence. This role will see you be given opportunities to undertake comprehensive educational programs in neonatal care as well as being involved in advancing further improvements in neonatal care. Healthscope offers opportunities for scholarships for ongoing training through the University of Tasmania.
We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals to join our team. You must possess excellent communication skills, be able to work within a team, and will be expected to deliver a high standard of care using a family centred holistic approach.
About the Role
The SCN Registered Nurse will work as part of the Special Nursery care team, adhere to Healthscope and site policies and procedures, contribute to the efficient, effective, and economic running of the unit, participate in working parties or committees (as required), demonstrate a commitment to Continuous Quality Improvement through National Safety & Quality Healthcare Service (NSQHS) Standards, Workplace Health and Safety, achievement of the NBH accreditation and deliver a high standard of customer service at all times.

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives' – Enterprise Agreement 2020 - 2024 with a salary between $35.46 -$49.79/hour.
