About the role:
Peel Mental Health Services, based at Tamworth Hospital, offers an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join an innovative and contemporary team delivering acute mental health care across the Peel Sector. You'll work alongside a multidisciplinary team of Psychiatrists, Resident Medical Officers, Nurses, and Allied Health Professionals, providing high-quality mental health assessments and treatment to the local community. With strong clinical governance ensuring exceptional care, you'll play a pivotal role in coordinating person-centred care for clients with diverse mental health needs.
This is a dynamic service that embraces change and innovation in delivering ambulatory mental health services, supported by a passionate leadership team offering a range of professional supports.
Additionally, the role may require travel within a 2.5-hour radius, giving you the opportunity to make a broader impact across the region.

You are passionate about working with individuals experiencing a variety of major mental health diagnoses.
You excel in working efficiently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
You have a strong ability to assess risk and conduct mental state examinations with confidence.

Requirements:

Registered Nurse with current authority to practice with AHPRA.
Eligible to drive in NSW and willingness to travel for work.

Additional information:

An eligibility list will be created for future permanent full or part time and temporary full or part time vacancies.
This position is full time; however, part time/job share arrangements may also be considered.
To be eligible for permanent employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport.
