As a Perioperative Registered Nurse – Recovery/PACU, your responsibilities will include: Deliver safe, researched-based standards of nursing careSupervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient careDeliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needsLead successful quality improvement and safety management project/s to deliver desired outcomesWork collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needsAct as a role model for Safe PracticeMinimum Requirements: 2 years' RN experience in Recovery/PACU Nursing with experience in one of the followingAuthority to Work in AustraliaWorking with Children checkBachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalentCurrent Registration (no restriction) with AHPRAClinical expertise and commitment to high quality patient care and continuous improvementSelf-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning teamExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsHighly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer focusedSelection Criteria: To succeed you will hold current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Enrolled Nurse with recent clinical experience (at least 2 years). You will have the ability to work effectively and harmoniously within a dynamic health care team holding effective written and verbal communication skills with commitment to ongoing professional education. In addition, you will possess the ability to problem solve or seek help from appropriate resources and the aptitude to implement care plans under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
