About the role
The purpose of the Registered Nurse is to provide direct nursing care utilising clinical skills, education and support to patients/clients and nursing staff within our 14 Operating Theatre complex to ensure the provision of best practice and quality patient care.
Our instrument and circulatory nurses rotate across all elective and emergency operating theatres. Successful candidates will be required to work am and pm shifts to ensure continuity of care for our patients and safe service delivery. A combination of 10, 9, 8 and 6 hour shifts are rostered to ensure nursing coverage to all theatre lists. On Call is mandatory for all staff deemed competent to be rostered on the on call roster each month.
Role requirements
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory. Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
