About the role Gold Coast Private Hospital would love you to join our dedicated team in our Oncology Ward working a rotating seven day roster 64 hours per fortnight. Use your expertise and care to help guide our patients through their treatment journey.

With 22 operating theatres, Gold Coast Private Hospital offers a wide range of specialties including, but not limited to, 24/7 Emergency Care, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat), General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care, and Oncology.

Your duties will include Provide high-quality nursing care to oncology patients, administering treatments and managing symptoms with empathy and compassion.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including oncologists, therapists, and support staff, to deliver comprehensive care plans.Educate patients and their families about their diagnosis, treatment options, and ongoing care needs.Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.Uphold the highest standards of patient safety, confidentiality, and ethical practice.Be involved in managing shifts overnight.Minimum Requirements Bachelor of Nursing (AHPRA Registration)Minimum 2 years in experience as an RN.Experience in oncology nursing preferred.Competency in chemotherapy administration will be highly regarded.Strong clinical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.A compassionate approach to patient care and a commitment to improving the lives of those affected by cancer.Why Healthscope?
