About the role:
This role will see you work within our Chronic and Complex Care team, where you will offer hearing assessment to community clients who have been referred from health care providers or through self-referral. You will work with clients of all ages, with many being children. The service operates standard business hours, Monday through Friday. You will receive comprehensive support from our Clinical Nurse Consultant, Nurse Unit Manager, and the broader team. Additionally, you will attend a yearly local workshop and will have access to scholarships which will see you attend the Audiometry Nurses Association yearly conference.

About You:
We are looking for a Registered Nurse who is clinically skilled in hearing assessments. You should have strong communication skills and be computer literate. An ability to work well with children is also vital to your success in this role.
Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme
This vacancy is eligible for an Attraction and Relocation package that includes the following:
Attraction incentive paid as a Rural and Regional fortnightly allowance of up to $10,000 for the first 12-months
Retention incentive of up to $5,000 thereafter annually
All payments and reimbursements made to part-time employees will be on a pro-rata basis.
Attraction incentives will be paid as a Rural and Regional fortnightly allowance on top of your base salary + 11.5% superannuation.
Other forms of payment/package options (where you are eligible) need to be negotiated with the Convenor and may include:
Additional annual professional development days (up to 5 more per year)
Additional personal leave (up to 5 more days per year)
Computer/internet reimbursement (e.g. laptop, wi-fi costs)
Return airfare to and from your work base (or equivalent motor vehicle allowance) so you can still visit family and friends

Requirements:
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
Highly Desirable:
Completion of an audiometry qualification from a Registered Training Organisation with the ability to perform hearing assessments on people of all ages

To be eligible for permanent employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport.
