The Role and the Team: The Department of Health are seeking suitably qualified applicants for the role of Registered Nurse to work in the West Coast District Hospital.
The West Coast Hospital includes 9 sub-acute care beds inclusive of 1 Palliative Suite, an Emergency First Response Unit, a 16 bed Aged Care Residential facility and visiting services such as Radiology, Diabetic Clinic, Physiotherapy and Podiatry.
As a Registered Nurse, you will strengthen health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other health professionals.

Details of Appointment Multiple permanent full time or part time, shift-worker positions working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time and casual vacancies. Salary:$75,902 to $102,908 pro rataper annum + 11% superannuation
You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
Access to the Grade 4 salary range $96,558 - $102,908 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4 Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023 In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
Remote and Rural Professional Development Allowance of $3,533 per annum and an additional salary allowance of 10% Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type Professional Development Allowance of up to $500 per annum (for over 30.4 hours, $125 for under) Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (NDIS endorsed) The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer.
