About this role We currently have a casual opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join an experienced team in our 82 bed Brig-O-Doon Aged Care Service. We are a supportive, friendly dedicated team who strives to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents.
Your focus will be recognising resident needs and assisting them with services that enrich their daily living. In order to ensure that residents' individual care plan requirements are met, you will also provide comprehensive guidance to nursing and care staff. The care you provide will have a lasting positive impact on our residents and their families.
Within your varied day, you will: Conduct baseline and required focus assessments of individual clients' needs and record findings within a Positive Wellbeing Model. Develop and review care plans based on assessment findings of individual client needs, ensuring that care strategies are based on evidence. Evaluate the effectiveness of care strategies in consultation with clients, their representatives, and other members of the care team. Maintain client documentation in accordance with electronic documentation and organisational and legislative requirements. Liaise and collaborate with internal/external service providers in the provision of services. You are a Registered Nurse Division One with AHPRA registration, who will bring demonstrated experience in an aged care setting, showcasing strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to make sound decisions in a dynamic environment. Your excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills are complemented by a caring and compassionate attitude towards our elderly residents, all while maintaining a steadfast commitment to person-centred care.
Your experience and qualifications for the role should include: A current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse. Some residential aged care experience. The ability to problem-solve using best practice methods and have demonstrated clinical knowledge. High level of professional written and verbal communication. Thorough understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards. Possess a National Police Clearance Check (or willingness to obtain).
