In this role you will lead day-to-day operations of Early Childhood Services which may include Preschool, Long Day Child Care, and Occasional care to ensure Council provides professional, safe, accessible, quality early childhood services within the region.
What you'll be doing:
Lead, supervise and coach staff on day-to-day issues relating to service delivery, including compliance and regulatory issues, standard of care requirements, enrolments, liaison with service users, and issue resolution.
As part of the leadership team, support the development of integrated, innovative early years services that are responsive to the needs of children and families.
Upskill and support the centres to continue to Exceed the National Quality Standards.
Maintain administrative requirements of early years operations such as time sheets, relief management, invoices, and SRF planning and acquittals.
Lead teams of educators and conduct regular performance evaluations (1/2 yearly reviews), providing constructive feedback and identifying areas for improvement or development.
Provide oversight and management to the planning and tracking of school readiness funding (SRF).
Support the development of, and ensure compliance with, policies, systems and procedures that meet best practice requirements and enhance integration and consistency of practice.
Ensure adherence to performance targets and indicators and compliance with internal and external funding and reporting requirements.
The skills and experience you'll bring to the role:
Appropriate experience in the operation of an early years' service and knowledge of legislative and policy frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to motivate and supervise staff.
Experience in developing programs and implementing policies, procedures and systems relating to children's services.
Maintenance of all relevant skills, certificates and licenses to meet regulatory compliance when working as part of the staff child ratio backfilling breaks or other shifts as required.
Required Certifications & Qualifications:
Relevant degree or diploma in Early Childhood Development or a related area, with strong relevant experience.
