What's on Offer Based in CairnsOptional 9-day fortnight I Career growth opportunities.ASX-Listed company I Global shipbuilderSalary Sacrificing, Novated Leasing, Retailer discount, EAP, Insurance discounts.The Opportunity Reporting to the PPB ISS Maintenance Lead, the Regional Support Coordinator (RSC) is responsible for assisting in the planning, implementation, and delivery of Maintenance Services for the Pacific Patrol Boat (PPB) Support Services contract.
As part of the PPB ISS Team, the RSC is the primary interface with the Commonwealth, in country advisors and the Pacific Island Countries (PIC) crew for delivery of PPB Support Services.
This important association facilitates the effective and efficient conduct of maintenance and defect rectification, in support of providing mission availability and a safe platform.
The Regional Support Coordinator is required to contribute to the broader development and growth of the PPB sustainment capability and is responsible for the effective support to the Resident Advisors.
What's involved Foster a close working relationship with Commonwealth in country advisors and Pacific Island Countries (PIC)Provide defect and maintenance support to regional advisors and PICs, IAW contractual requirements, utilising reach back engineering support, including a 24 x 7 telephone help line.Develop, maintain and identify efficiencies within maintenance processes and procedures.Assist in the development and implementation of Engineering Change ProposalsAssist in ensuring the technical data contained within the Client Portal, is accurate.Take Ownership of Survey and Quote (S&Q) and AdHoc service requests applicable to your allocated region.Develop reports in support of contractual requirements.Occasional International travel to support In-Nation activities.Facilitate the planning and delivery of hull surveys prior to each Slipping of each vessel being supported.Facilitate the planning and maintenance of: 'In service' status of safety equipment listed in the contract.Gas detection equipment; andFluid Sampling.Provide assistance with the maintenance of warehouse held stock, as well as repairable items, held in Cairns inventory.Support development and engagement with the Cairns supply chain.Support the Program Manager and Maintenance Lead in AdHoc requests.Support maintenance assurance activities.You'll need Essential Formal Maintenance or Project Management qualifications10 years' experience in the marine industryKnowledge of maintenance management practices of marine platformsUnderstanding of organisational procedures, policies & guidelines.Proficient in MS Office suiteStrong time management and understanding of control processes, resource planning/schedules and budgets.Desirable Bachelor of Engineering, Mechanical or equivalent.
