Position: Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Defence) Location: Adelaide, SA

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join the client team in Adelaide (Northern Suburb), working on critical Defence projects. This is a Permanent role that offers the opportunity to work on complex infrastructure solutions within the Defence sector, contributing to the planning, design and implementation of secure network and computing systems.
Key Responsibilities: Configuration, troubleshooting and management of Linux environments ensuring high performance and security standards. Manage and integrate Windows Active Directory and Directory Services into multi-platform environments. Build and configure project servers, network infrastructure, desktop hardware and project software environments and applications. Planning, design and implementation of secure network and computing infrastructure as part of the project team. Perform analysis, design and preparation of documentation for engineering solutions aligned with project requirements. Design and implement systems, create detailed engineering build documents and procedural guidelines and maintain up-to-date records of system configurations. Experience mentoring Junior engineers and conducting peer reviews, with the ability to work collaboratively in project teams. Assist with the development of project plans, schedules and technical specifications, ensuring alignment with client needs. Skills & Qualifications: Strong RHEL Linux configuration and administration experience. Proven skills in creating detailed procedural and technical documentation. Fundamental understanding of routing and switching. Solid experience with Windows Active Directory and related Directory Services. Extensive knowledge of communications devices and protocols, server and desktop technologies, virtualization environments and Cybersecurity. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work on complex engineering solutions. Demonstrated ability to mentor and review the work of peers and junior engineers.
