RACQ is seeking a Financial Accountant to join our dynamic Insurance Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated accounting professional to play a key role in maintaining high-quality financial processes and systems that support compliance and drive business insights for decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain financial processes and systems to ensure all RACQ-controlled entities meet compliance obligations. Ensure the accurate recording of transactions within RACQ's general ledger, sub-ledgers, and integrated systems in accordance with accounting standards. Support the preparation of high-quality financial information to assist management in making informed, sound financial decisions. Contribute to the ongoing development and review of reporting processes and systems to maintain high standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure RACQ's policies and financial requirements are met, with accurate and substantiated records maintained. About you:
University degree in a relevant field (Accounting, Finance, or similar). 2-4 years of relevant experience in financial or management accounting. Proven experience in the development and management of reporting business intelligence systems. Strong proficiency with business intelligence systems and data manipulation tools. Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across teams. Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks. Ability to interpret and analyse financial reports, delivering efficient and insightful financial analysis. Demonstrated problem-solving skills, initiative, and sound business acumen. Advanced computer literacy with a strong understanding of financial systems and reporting tools. Why join RACQ?
