About the Role Melba is seeking a Quality Business Partner to join our Quality Governance Team on a 12-month, full-time fixed-term contract.
Reporting to the Manager of Quality Governance, the successful candidate will play a key role in driving continuous improvement and maintaining compliance across Melba services. The Quality Business Partner will support our quality management system, ensure alignment with Victorian and NDIS legislative and accreditive standards, collaborate with the quality team to implement compliance measures and lead internal audits.
As a Quality Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in upholding service excellence and making a difference in the community.
Responsibilities include Support Accreditation: Ensure Melba maintains accreditation status in accordance with Victorian and NDIS Quality and Safeguarding frameworks and legislative requirements by ensuring systems, processes and staff are prepared for audits.Drive Quality Improvement: Collaborate with the Quality Governance team to enhance services across Melba by developing and implementing quality improvement plans.Policy and Procedure Development: Maintain and enhance documentation within the Melba Operating System, ensuring accessibility and clarity.Incident Reporting & Complaints Management System: Support the operation of compliance systems, addressing incidents and feedback in line with NDIS Standards.Facilitate Training and Development: Contribute to staff learning on quality matters, ensuring practices align with Melba's Standards and compliance expectations.Qualifications and Experience 2+ years of experience as a Quality Business Partner or similar role in the disability or aged care sector.A strong commitment to human rights.Relevant Bachelor's or Qualification (Desirable).Strong understanding of quality management principles, functions and practices.Comprehensive knowledge of legislative and policy framework in the disability sector, including but not limited to the Victorian and NDIS Quality and safeguarding Frameworks, the National Disability Insurance Scheme Act of 2013 and the Disability Act 2006.Proven experience in compliance, ideally within the disability sector.Ability to drive change and quality improvements.Experience with person-centred Planning, Active Support and Positive Behaviour Support.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships and to influence all stakeholders.You will also bring with you or be willing to obtain A current NDIS Worker Screening and Working with Children Check (we can support you through the process of obtaining one or both checks if you don't already have them).Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination status, including booster.Why Join Us?
