Job DescriptionWe have an outstanding opportunity for a candidate with strong technical ability and motivation, in the position of Colac Quality Manager.
This position will lead the Colac Quality team, focused on maintaining, monitoring and improving our quality systems while executing on performance expectations.
This position would suit a motivated individual that has experience in managing people and driving performance outcomes, and who is ambitious, and career orientated.
The role of Quality Manager is to be the driver of quality of the plant, monitoring performance to a high level of detail, identifying trends to prevent issues from developing and driving for continuous improvement of the process.
Reporting to the Site Manager and based out of our site in Colac on day shift, the Quality Manager must have a strong commitment to safety and a focus and passion for continuous improvement.
The position provides great growth and development opportunities.
Ideally this position will suit someone with an interest in process improvement and quality systems and a proven background and experience in a manufacturing environment.
With cutting edge technology in our green and dry mill operations, this position is perfect for someone with a passion for innovation, process and continuous improvement.
We believe the position will best suit someone with either a Tertiary Qualification in Engineering, Management (or similar) or someone with strong experience in quality or people management.
Exposure to the timber or manufacturing industries will be valuable but not necessary.
The successful candidate must be willing to challenge and enhance existing processes and systems and be a team orientated person with strong communication and influencing skills who is self-motivated, and solutions driven.
