About Our Client Our client is one of the largest and most efficient mining operators in the world, with somewhat of a monopoly on the production of a suite of essential commodities such as iron ore, copper, diamonds, and uranium. A global presence across multiple continents has enabled our client to invest within the overall procurement function with a focus on optimisation and efficiency.
Job Description Although the existing team has somewhat of a category focus, there is an expectation to support where required and therefore the responsibilities of the role will include but may not be limited to the following:
Management of the end-to-end procurement process, particularly the conversion of purchase requisitions to purchase orders through SAP.The execution of impromptu sourcing projects as required with a focus on operational efficiency, cost-saving, whilst ensuring compliance.Conduct appropriate analysis of operational processes, supplier performance, and market trends with the aim of improving operational efficiencies, defining potential gaps, and identifying commercial opportunities.The Successful Applicant The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
Previous experience within a similar or equivalent position; end-to-end purchasing experience is essential.Demonstrated experience within a procurement environment utilising SAP.The ability to analyse and interpret data with the aim of identifying favourable commercial outcomes/opportunities.What's on Offer Located within the heart of the Perth CBD, a short walk from multiple train stations, the role would align with an individual who is looking to leverage an existing skill-set within end-to-end purchasing to gain exposure to the resources industry. The role offers exposure to strategic elements of the procurement management process whilst simultaneously developing technical capability within the navigation of SAP.
