Seeking an experienced Procurement and Contract Manager with government experience, to join a team ASAP

A state government department based in Shenton Park, are seeking an experienced Procurement and Contract Manager to join the procurement team.
This role is being offered on an initial temporary contract until the end of the year, with a possibility of extension on offer.
You will be required to work full-time hours and will be paid on a competitive hourly rate.
Your new role
As the Procurement and Contract Manager, you will be responsible for:
Overseeing community service and commercial procurement and contracts
Contribute to developing and maintaining best practice of contract management frameworks
Developing complex and high risk contracts
Procurement planning, tender documentation and evaluation and contract formulation
Provide specialist procurement and contract management advice to key stakeholders
Ensure that procurement documentation is in line with government standards
Represent the department on committee meetings and other groups on specific contract management matters
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered for this role, you must display:
Substantial experience in procurement and contract management positions
Previous and recent experience working in the WA State Government sector
Advanced interpersonal communication skills, with confidence in consulting and negotiating with stakeholders
Advanced written communication skills
Excellent problem-solving abilities
