As a Public Relations Manager, you will play a key role in developing and implementing effective communication strategies and plans to support this goal.
Key Responsibilities
Develop Communications SolutionsTranslate business strategies and initiatives into messaging and contentPrioritize communications and messages to maximize impact on target audiences and business outcomesDrive Consumer-Focused CommunicationsPrimarily responsible for driving the consumer-focused aspect of Vanguard's public relations strategyCreate Effective Communications ContentCreate compelling communications content based on a deep understanding of target audiences and the broader operating environmentLead Day-to-Day Communication ActivitiesDrive the execution of all phases of the communications process, including conception, implementation, and measurementResolve Conflicts and Improve Communication ProcessesResolve conflicts over content or communication channel recommendations by acting as a trusted advisor to influence, coach, and negotiate with stakeholdersImprove end-to-end communication processes by applying current and evolving industry standards, while complying with the Vanguard brandDevelop and Strengthen RelationshipsDevelop and strengthen working relationships with key influencers across the organization and in the industry to support communications and business objectivesQualifications
Proven experience (minimum seven years) in public relations roles within financial services and related fields is highly desirableAbility to build and expand relationships with journalists, generate standout media coverage, and pitch stories in consumer mediaExceptional research skills and written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify and convey complex policy issues to diverse audiencesExtensive understanding of social, political, and regulatory developments that are relevant to our firm, our clients, and our staffProven ability to nurture strategic partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders, leveraging your influence to create a robust network that drives our brand forwardSpecialisations that will make an impact
