The Emerging Voices Coordinator overseas Emerging Voices Exchanges, Alumni, and Experiential Learning, while working under the supervision of the Public Engagement Specialist. Working at the U.S. Embassy in Canberra, the purpose of the Embassy is to increase the understanding of the United States and its policies as well as collaborate on shared interests with Australia.
Duties Coordinate Mission Australia's exchange programs for youth and communities that are not included in traditional U.S. Diplomatic engagement.Design, plan and implement a broad range of activities to maintain contact with alumni of all Embassy engaged exchanges, activities and initiatives.Coordinates Experiential Learning projects and events.Designs, develops and identifies co-sponsors and funding sources.Plans and oversees a wide range of outreach activities in support of Mission Australia's goals.Skills and ExperienceFour (4) years experience in a multilingual, multicultural or multi national work environment is required.Project Management, marketing, public relations, communications or educational duties as a significant part of your role is required.University degree in International Relations, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, American Studies, Intercultural/Multicultural Studies or related major is required.Fluent, speaking/reading/writing of English is required.Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO)The U.S. Mission provides equal opportunity and fair and equitable treatment in employment to all people without regard to race, colour, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, political affiliation, marital status, or sexual orientation.
