Chandler Macleod, on behalf of our client, is seeking a Property Leasing Administrator with experience in commercial and residential leasing, as well as governmental real estate management.
This role will be responsible for the administration of property asset leases, licences, and agreements to maximise the benefits for our client, in line with relevant legislation.
This is a full time temporary position for an initial 2 month period with potential extension based at Blackburn North for 2 days and 3 days work from home.
Key Responsibilities: Provide expert advice on real estate management, policies, procedures, and legislation.
Administer the lease renewal program, ensuring leases, licenses, and agreements are current.
Develop and contribute to comprehensive leasing management procedures.
Collaborate with the Leasing unit and Property Services team to achieve real estate management goals.
Maintain and analyse property asset information, including the lease register.
Ensure compliance with legislative requirements for property asset leasing.
Recommend and implement solutions for leasing processes and procedures.
Provide regulatory and compliance advice to internal stakeholders.
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support service delivery.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and information systems for lease management.
Maintain health and safety standards by addressing unsafe conditions and completing required training.
To be suitable for the role: Knowledge and understanding of legal processes related to property leases, licenses, and agreements, including the Retail Leases Act 2003 and Crown Land (Reserves) Act 1978 .
Experience in the use of real estate information management systems.
Strong attention to detail, with appropriate checking processes to ensure accurate information recording.
Proven experience in governmental real estate management .
Experience negotiating real estate agreements in both commercial and residential contexts.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills to gain cooperation and achieve positive outcomes, with the ability to adapt communication styles to various situations and individuals.
Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills to prioritize and schedule tasks and projects effectively.
Understanding of the organisation's role, the function of the real estate management unit, and its impact on strategic outcomes.
A current Victorian Driver Licence is required.
