About Us: The Barwon Southwest Prison Precinct incorporates four custodial facilities located 6km north-west of Lara, 20km from the centre of Geelong and about 70km from Melbourne.
The four custodial facilities consist of two maximum security prisons being HM Prison Barwon and Western Plains Correctional Centre and medium security prison Marngoneet Correctional Centre and Karreenga Annex.
The BSW Prison Services Team provides both operational and administrative services to HMP Barwon, Marngoneet Correctional Centre and the Karreenga Annex.
About the Role: A Records and Property Administrator provides strong administrative support in handling sensitive Prison and Prisoner documentation, administrative and business support services.
In the context of a prison, a Record Officer provides a range of corporate support services, within the unique operational environment of the correctional facility.
In context the role requires a strong focus on customer service, teamwork, integrity, accuracy, compliance, and timelines.
The Records and Property Administrator is responsible for maintaining the prisoner property stores stock levels, safekeeping of prisoner's stored property, prisoner property requests, the prisoner's greens store and valuables register.
This position is an integral role in the transfer of prisoner's personal items between prison locations.

As part of the Records & Property team, and under supervision, providing high quality services and performing all functions pertaining to prisoner records, Individual Management File (IMF) registry and prison archives at BSW prisons. Coordinating the preparation of all documentation relating to a prisoner's transfer, classification, release and court appearances and undertaking operational processes associated with the prison's bails and discharges. Controlling and managing the daily operations of the Prisoners information into the PIMS and E*Justice Systems. About You: As an ideal candidate, you will possess:
