Job description:The Project Midwife will lead a strategic project that will analyse and map the current statewide operational approach to managing systems, processes and policies, as well as transport requirements, for families experiencing stillbirth. This is an element under the National Stillbirth Action and Implementation Plan.
This project will support strategic midwifery initiatives, including the progression of midwifery education, training, research and practice across Tasmania. This midwife will utilise highly developed understanding of professional midwifery practice to manage this project to contribute to the strategic objectives of the Department of Health (DoH). This role will establish and maintain consultative and collaborative links within the DoH, with community and industry representatives, and with other external stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives related to the National Stillbirth Action and Implementation Plan. This role will engage with and represent the interests of Tasmania in professional networks locally, nationally and internationally. The role will also provide support for committees (or other groups) associated with the functions of the Office of the Chief Nurse and Midwifery Officer and National Stillbirth Action and Implementation Plan.
