A fantastic opportunity for a motivated leader passionate about animal welfare to join Huon's Fish Production team in the role of Fish Health Manager.
The role The Fish Health Manager will play a crucial role in establishing Huon as a leader in Fish Health, Welfare, and Biosecurity.
You will work closely with key stakeholders to achieve identified objectives in these essential areas across Marine and Freshwater operations.
Reporting to the Fish Production Manager, you will: Lead the Fish Health team with impact, inspiring and guiding your team by fostering a positive and collaborative environment while delivering clear and decisive direction.
Develop robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders, collaborating strategically to meet organisational goals and achieve fish health targets across marine and freshwater operations.
Analyse data to address challenges and offer strategic recommendations focused on long-term benefits, presenting your findings and reports effectively to stakeholders.
Apply a solution focused mindset in a dynamic and challenging environment to support broader decision-making and prioritisation within the organisation.
Apply financial acumen to manage budgets and control project costs associated with fish health initiatives efficiently.
It is a requirement of this role to travel between sites as required.
About you You will have: A Veterinary qualification is desirable but not essential.
Proven experience or tertiary qualifications in a science or related field, with strong technical knowledge of fish health and the ability to interpret complex technical details.
Demonstrated capability to influence, coach, and manage teams effectively, empowering your people to deliver, develop and grow.
Excellent communication skills and enjoy building strong relationships with stakeholders across all levels.
Proven experience in proactively planning initiatives and establishing clear, actionable objectives.
