It also supports schools to maintain their buildings and grounds by offering expert advice and coordinating maintenance programs and grants.About the DivisionThe Asset Management Division helps schools maintain and manage their buildings and grounds, ensuring energy efficiency. The Division trains school leaders as facilities managers and supports them in developing school maintenance plans.About the RoleThis is a full-time fixed-term role until 30th June 2026.The Project Officer will be part of a flexible and high-performing Response Programs Unit (RPU) within the VSBA's Facilities Branch.Responsibilities of the role include:Coordinating and managing responses to stakeholder enquiriesReviewing quotations from service providersResponding to complex queriesOrganising project team meetings and supporting documentsBuilding strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholdersSupporting the implementation of the program's policies and guidelinesProviding administrative support for projects and procurementProviding advice and reporting on program deliveryUndertaking financial management activities, including invoicing and budget managementUndertaking procurement activities in accordance with relevant legislation and policiesRole Specific Requirements:This position may require participation in shift work as the team operates 7 days per weekThis position may involve evening or weekend work, including occasional travelComply with all public health requirementsAttributesThe ideal candidate will possess:Solid customer service skills and exceptional communication abilitiesThe ability to provide clear and concise advice on complex issuesStrong critical thinking and problem-solving skillsFlexibility to adapt to change and manage competing prioritiesDesirable Qualifications and ExperienceDemonstrated knowledge and experience in Asset Management infrastructureExperience in an incident response-based or emergency-related roleKnowledge and experience in government procedures and processesHow to ApplyApplicants are encouraged to include a cover letter addressing the key selection criteria (no more than 3 pages) and a resume.Further InformationThe department values diversity and inclusion in all forms.
