The First Nations team is building cultural capability, trust, transparency and strengthening relationships between the Queensland Police Service (QPS) and First Nations communities across Queensland.
This is achieved by sharing information and developing initiatives in a collaborative approach to prevent harm and together develop a safer Queensland for everyone.In this role you will be a part of the newly established First Nations Division and will assist in preparing project plans, schedules, organisational charts, briefing notes and correspondence of a complex nature for dissemination to senior management.We are focused on building a diverse team with a supportive inclusive culture and we are actively seeking applications from people with First Nations backgrounds.The First Nations Division is a close-knit team and positively contributing to working relationships and ensuring approachability is essential, demonstrating empathy, respect, teamwork and compassion.Your Key Accountabilities:The core capability requirements for this role are:Support multi-disciplinary project teams involved in the planning, development, implementation, review and evaluation of projects and programs.Prepare project plans, schedules, organisational charts, briefing notes and correspondence of a complex nature for dissemination to senior management.Coordinate input from technical and operational areas and monitor the activities.Assist with project management functions such as risks/issues/decisions/benefits management and scheduling.Support the Project Team through the use of applications (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint).Liaise, consult and negotiate with internal stakeholders to deal with sensitive and/or classified information in an appropriate manner.Represent the Division at selected forums.Applications to remain current for 12 months.Further informationWe are committed to building inclusive cultures in the Queensland public sector that respect and promote human rights and diversity.Please ensure you download all attachments and follow the instructions on how to apply.
