As Project Officer, you will be a member of the Youth Detention Centre Infrastructure Project Team, each member is responsible for a range of deliverables and activities including. Providing project support services to the project team and to the new youth detention centres in Woodford and the Cairns region, including high quality presentation of financials, project reports, secretariat functions of the project's governance group/s. Establishing, maintaining, and reporting on (and from) team systems and processes as part of an overarching governance framework for the new youth detention centres and infrastructure projects. Developing correspondence and maintaining web content of the progress of the new youth detention centre and coordinating and contributing to various communication products for the project. The Project Officer Key Responsibilities Are: To provide high quality advice and support on a range of project initiatives, which will include all tasks relevant to the project. Manage complex projects to ensure efficient and effective delivery of functions relevant to the project initiatives, including direct engagement with young people. Undertake research and analyse information (as required) which is relevant to the project. Ensure project compliance and effectiveness relevant to the operations of the department. Develop, implement, maintain, and review practices and procedures relevant to the project initiatives. Prepare correspondence relevant to the project including case notes, executive briefs, reports, submissions and associated written communications. Coordinate the reporting on the project/s budget, progress, risk profiles and stakeholder interactions. Provide advice to the Project Manager and other team members on opportunities for process and system development, business service functions including internal governance, finance reporting, project administration and information technology support.
