Project Officer – Children and Families – Children's Ministry   About Archdiocese of Brisbane The Archdiocese of Brisbane is a dynamic Catholic community in Southeast Queensland.

About the Role: Evangelisation Brisbane is seeking a passionate and dedicated Project Officer to join our Children and Families team.
This role is pivotal in promoting and implementing a vibrant, holistic vision of Catholic Children's Ministry.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering strategic outcomes as outlined in our 2020-2024 strategic plan, and contribute to the next phase (2025-2027), supporting the mission of integrating children and families into the heart of our faith communities.
Role Objectives: The primary objective of this role is to foster a thriving Catholic Children's Ministry across the Archdiocese of Brisbane by launching impactful programs, providing support to parishes, and creating contemporary resources.
The Project Officer will work to ensure that ministry to children and families is integral to healthy parishes and faith communities, while also offering training, networking, and resources for those involved in sacramental preparation and children's ministry.
Key Responsibilities: Launch and lead children's ministries for primary-school-aged children, aiming for regular participation of 30-40 students (Encounter Catholic Kids Initiative).
Organize and run 10-15 Encounter Catholic Kids Days (Holiday programs) across the Archdiocese by the end of 2024.
Develop formation and training programs that are accessible, affordable, adaptable, and inclusive for those ministering in children's ministry.
Create and deliver engaging resources for sacramental preparation and children's ministry.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including clergy, school principals, and ministry coordinators.
Contribute to the strategic planning and cultural development of Evangelisation Brisbane.
Uphold the Archdiocese's commitment to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.
About You: You have a passion for working with children and families and a deep understanding of Catholic Children's Ministry.
You are experienced in project management and thrive in collaborative environments.
You possess strong communication skills, are an excellent planner, and have a creative mindset.
You have the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders and foster a spirit of teamwork.
You are self-aware, adaptable, and demonstrate a commitment to the mission and values of the Catholic Church.
Desirable Qualities: A background in youth ministry, theology, education, or liberal arts.
Experience in creative technologies (graphic design, photography, video editing).
Skills in social media and web-based platforms.
A proactive, flexible, and enthusiastic approach to your work.
