The Capability Branch is looking for a Project Officer who is skilled in planning and administering programs and projects, and is capable of collating, managing and manipulating data to inform decisions.

This temporary vacancy is available from January 2025 to 27 June 2025, unless otherwise determined.

About The Role

This role will be based in the EFI's Teaching Expertise team which operates from the Brisbane CBD.

As The Project Officer Your Role Will Include Planning and initiating the activities of programs in line with project objectives and timelinesProcuring program elements including venues and key partnersPreparing reports, spreadsheets, planning documentation and other written correspondence using a range of computer software packages.Working collaboratively to resolve problems and assist in the development, coordination and implementation of initiatives, policies, processes and systems for effective and efficient administration of programsCommunicating with and managing participants within programsMonitoring and evaluating programs to achieve continuous improvement.We would be looking for someone who is a confident and enthusiastic team player with a comprehensive understanding of project activities.The Ideal Candidate WillUnderstand the vision and strategic directions of the Department of Education;Flexibly work across a number of priorities and competing demands;Communicate with a high standard of written and oral communication skills;Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and organisation skills;Develop positive relationships and work collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders;Enjoy working with a diverse team to deliver outcomes and make a positive impact in education.Please refer to the attached role description for any mandatory requirements for this position.
