The Community Corrections and Specialist Operations Command (CCSO) is undertaking significant transformational change and project delivery.
The CCSO program management office (PMO) has been established to enhance CCSO project and program management capabilities, support successful execution of projects within the remit of CCSO and align associated project efforts with strategic goals.
The Project Manager, Psychological Services ensures the effective and efficient development, design and delivery of high-quality psychological services in correctional centres.
This will be achieved through high level stakeholder relationship management, governance processes, and provision of high-level expertise and advice.
The Essential Requirements for this role are:
Experience in a criminal justice environment or similar human service or allied health setting.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to set priorities, coordinate activities and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated high level communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills for liaising with management and staff at all levels, to gain commitments and negotiate service delivery, priorities, deadlines, resources and other relevant issues.
Proven ability in building and sustaining operational capacity and capability within a challenging and dynamic environment.
Demonstrated experience in change management and continuous improvement in organisations, including an ability to work flexibly to respond to changing work priorities and to provide high level advice regarding professional standards.
Strong conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrate knowledge, interpretation, and application of legislation, policies and procedures.
High level communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in monitoring and reviewing clinical service provision.
Knowledge and application of research and practices for effective psychological services, intervention and program delivery.
Understanding and application of theories, models and research related to correctional psychology and behavioural change techniques.
Understanding and application of practice supervision models and techniques.
A degree qualification in psychology and a general registration as a psychologist is required. Possession of post graduate qualifications (or significant progress towards post graduate qualifications) in a relevant field would be highly regarded.
Approval by the Psychology Board as a supervisor or current eligibility to undertake this process is a mandatory requirement for this role.
