About the role Join our dynamic team as the Project Manager, Industrial Relations and HR Governance, where you will undertake a program of work to review and improve the HR governance for the end-to-end employee lifecycle, improve payroll governance, work with employment contracts, conditions and an enterprise agreement.
As part of the People and Culture Team, you will be instrumental in enhancing the employee experience, improving governance, and supporting people managers to lead their people well.
Y Queensland is recruiting an experienced Project Manager, IR and HR Governance on a Full-Time Fixed-Term basis to join our People and Culture Team located in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane. What will my time look like? Lead the development and implementation of HR governance and IR projects and initiatives.Assess current people management practices and identify opportunities for improvement and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including corporate governance standards.Develop new policies, procedures and workflows to ensure best practice, business-focused and legislatively compliant employment practices.Provide HR advice and technical solutions on a broad range of generalist HR activities and IR matters in line with Y Qld's policies, procedures, relevant legislation, and applicable industrial instruments.Provide quality advice, both written and verbal, in relation to the interpretation and application of legislation, policies, industrial awards (including EA) and Y Qld practices and procedures to ensure business needs are met.Provide quality advice and input on HR workforce matters and best practice solutions that will support organisational requirements and minimise risk.Collaborate with the Learning and Development Lead to build capability with compliance obligations and the development and delivery of training, as required.Provide support to the Chief People Officer with matters relating to Industrial instruments and Enterprise Agreements development.Provide industrial, policy and procedure advice to Managers and employees.Contribute to the management and administration of the HRIS systems, processes and procedures in the Y Queensland.Am I a good match? At least 5 years' experience in an IR or HR Governance role in a medium to large organisation.Degree qualifications in Human Resource Management or related discipline.A comprehensive working knowledge of the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) and other employment-related legislative and regulatory obligations.Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply Acts, Enterprise Agreements, awards and other industrial and legal instruments.Experience with enterprise agreement negotiation and implementation.Demonstrate capability to develop and draft policies, employment contracts, agreements and other industrial and employment-related documents.Demonstrated ability to engage and influence key stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.Demonstrated ability to support a culture of continuous improvement, be innovative and develop creative solutions to resolve challenges and opportunities.Currently possess or be willing to obtain a positive notice Blue Card in accordance with the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000.What's in it for you?
