A great opportunity exists for a Project Manager with a minimum 5 years' experience to join our head office based in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane. This is a permanent position, available immediately and will see you working with a group of enthusiastic and capable professionals.
This role predominately focuses on assisting with the delivery of fuel & energy projects (service stations, quick service restaurants, EV installations), as well as other general retail and industrial projects such as multi-retail centres, industrial subdivisions, and logistics/warehousing.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Review client scope of works and determine project deliverable requirementsManaging the design document development phase to ensure compliance to statutory and client requirementsPreparing and tendering design documentation packagesContract management of construction projectsPreparing/submitting and liaison with statutory authorities and utility service providers for relevant building approvalsAct as Superintendent and client representative during construction phase.Prepare project status and project cost reportsReview and check design drawings and documentationPreparing fee proposals and monitoring the financial performance of projectsLiaising and negotiating with clients, suppliers and sub-consultants as requiredSupporting the TfA project team in the delivery of projects meeting quality requirements.Skills & Experience: Have a degree qualification in one of the following: Project Management, Construction Management, or engineering discipline (Civil, Structural, Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical) Have a minimum 5 years' experience in a role that can demonstrate your knowledge base in construction principles, design principles, building approval/compliance, project lifecycle management, site construction practices and safety procedures, etc.Be self-motivated, with very good communication and interpersonal relationship skillsBe highly skilled in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Competency in Microsoft Project would be highly regardedHave excellent communication skills in English (oral and written) in particular, demonstrate a high level of technical writing ability (reports, professional emails and letters)Have experience in writing documentation for the different stages of a project.Have knowledge and experience with statutory authority and operational work application submissions and approval processes.Have industry experience in a role that has demonstrated a knowledge base in construction principles, design principles, building approval/compliance, site construction practices and safety procedures etc.Previous experience in contract management and contract negotiations on variations, extensions of time, payment claims etc.Experience within the fuel/energy industry and commercial/retail building industry would be highly regardedSalary & Conditions:
