About the Role The Project Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the successful delivery of a fit-for-purpose electronic Case Management System (eCMS) for Parole Board Queensland (PBQ).
Provide day to day management and oversight of resources for the development, implementation and delivery of an eCMS solution, ensuring effective and high-quality fit for purpose products are delivered on time and within scope and budget. Delivery assurance to the significant investment in the eCMS for PBQ to ensure quality standards are met and comply with Queensland Corrective Services' strategies and architecture. Proactive stakeholder engagement with key internal and external stakeholders (including procurement, technical and nontechnical SMEs and the engaged vendor) to facilitate the delivery of a solution. Ensuring key external stakeholders' information needs are met in a manner which enables them to make informed decisions. Ensuring the engaged provider is progressing to plan and maintaining scope and quality. Coordinating resourcing and requirements to ensure we are meeting our responsibilities for project success. Assist with the capability uplift of both business and ICT areas as part of the transition from project activities to business as usual. Management of potential issues to mitigate any project over runs and minimise project disruptions. Monitor costs, times, quality, and resources used, acting where necessary to stay within agreed tolerances. The ability to generate progress reports, correspondence, briefings and submissions regarding the development, progress and delivery of key deliverables, issues and core business as directed. Undertake any other duties as assigned. Essential Requirements: Highly developed stakeholder engagement and management skills with the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Strong vendor management skills, including the ability to negotiate and progress outcomes. Knowledge and thorough understanding of software development life cycle - initiation, analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, documentation, training and deployment. Excellent problem solving and problem analysis skills including root cause analysis, with the ability to lead a team to resolve multi-functional problems. High level of interpersonal, presentational, oral and written communication skills with a diverse range of stakeholders and strong evidence of customer focus and relationship management skills. High level of organisational skills, including the ability to establish own work priorities and manage time effectively, whilst remaining flexible to respond to changing needs in a busy environment. High level of financial acumen in managing budgets, supported by experience in managing vendors to deliver ICT products as per agreed quality, scope, time and cost.
