We are excited to have been exclusively retained by a leading N.T Air Conditioning & Mechanical Services contractor who have held significant market share across the NT for almost fifteen years now. Covering a broad range of services, they now seek an experienced Project Manager for their "Construction Projects" division to play a key role in the delivery of their most significant project to date! The Challenge: To oversee the delivery of a fully designed Air Conditioning and Mechanical Services package of circa $10M contributing to the overall "green filed " construction of a $300M critical Defence project. The Environment: This project has commenced and is now coming out of the ground, to be delivered on an operational Air Force base, security and compliance are paramount in day-to-day accessing and operating on base. You will be required to relocate to Katherine N.T for the duration of the project, fully supported accommodation "in camp" single man ensuite will be provided to the successful candidate. The Program: Given the nature of the trade package to be delivered, our client's program will see you commence in this role ASAP with the view of being one of the trades to "turn the lights out " and hand over at compilation of the project (circa 15 months from now). Your Skill Set & Experience: Demonstratable experience delivering projects in excess of $5M package ideally within a high complaint "operational" precinct. Ability to manage and drive a team to deliver to the program with quality and Safety paramount in your day-to-day outcomes and activity. An awareness of HVAC systems and processes is important and welcomed, however, you don't need to be a Tech specialist in this field! We have the Engineers for that, we are more focused on your ability to drive a team and a project achieving deadlines and protecting our client's entitlements. Trade or Tertiary Building qualifications will be well received as will extensive experience across Construction Project Management in general. Must be an Australian citizen and be able to pass a full security and police background check to ensure your ability to secure Defence security clearance.
