About the role South West Healthcare (SWH) is the major specialist referral health service for the South West region. In partnership with the Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA), SWH is embarking on the most transformative health infrastructure program ever undertaken in regional Victoria. SWH is undertaking building projects worth over $450M across multiple campuses, including the $384.2M redevelopment of the Warrnambool Base Hospital, a new $40M aged care facility in Camperdown, construction of a new Community Mental Health facility in Hamilton along with multiple other minor capital works improvement projects.
These redevelopment projects will significantly expand our ability to deliver acute, sub-acute, specialist, community, mental health and aged services across the entire South West of Victoria. These projects support our rapidly growing rural community and ensure we continue to provide the highest quality care and services to local families, closer to home. SWH is now inviting applications for this pivotal role.
What you bring The successful applicant will be a proven leader with experience in infrastructure project delivery environments. You will have led diverse teams across all aspects of the development and delivery of health infrastructure projects and have a thorough understanding of procurement, financial management, contract management, OH&S legislation and the relationship between planning, construction and asset management.
You will work very closely with the Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA) on this project and will provide leadership to a team of SWH project managers, clinical leads and users to ensure that the project is completed on time and within budget and to a high standard that ensures the infrastructure enables the delivery of quality health services to our communities.
