Project Director

About the Role
Project Director opportunity working on an EPCM Greenfields project in Africa. Role will be Perth based until mid next year where it will transition to site on a FIFO basis, based in one of the safest jurisdictions in Africa.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute project plans, covering timelines, budgets, and resource strategies.
Lead and guide multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals.
Oversee all project phases, including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
Monitor performance metrics and proactively address deviations.
Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure safety and reduce risks.
Manage stakeholder communications and build strong client and subcontractor relationships.
Provide timely progress updates to Senior Management.
Promote continuous improvement, innovation, and efficiency.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
Experience/Requirements
A Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
Preferably Process or Mechanical Engineering.
A successful track record in project management roles within the mining and mineral processing industry.
Strong technical expertise in project planning, execution, and delivery.
Excellent leadership and communication abilities, with the capacity to motivate and inspire multidisciplinary teams across different levels and cultures.
In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and software applications.
Proven experience managing complex projects in multicultural and international environments.
PMP or Prince2 certification is desirable.
